2.7L DOHC V6 Dodge/Chrysler engine. This 2.7 Dodge engine fits 2005-2008 RWD Magnum, Charger, Sebring, Stratus, and Avenger applications.
The 2.7L Chrysler engine has common premature engine failures, such as tensioner failures, oil consumption, and engine bearing failure, as a result of oil sludge or gelling. This engine has strict oil change requirements, oil must be changed at least every 3000 miles or 3 months. Many manufacturers suggest shorter oil change intervals may be necessary, perhaps as often as every 1000 miles, to keep the oil sludge from appearing.
*Damage caused by oil sludging/gelling is not a defect in workmanship and is not covered under warranty*
This Longblock 2.7 Dodge engine includes block, crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, timing set, oil pump, camshaft, lifters, bearings, gasket set, cylinder heads, valves and springs.
