4.7 liter SOHC Chrysler long block engine. This part number fits 2002-2003 Durango, 2003-2004 Dakota and Ram 1500 applications with NGC computer (32 notches in crank sensor wheel) and without EGR. On all 2002 Durango applications you must verify there is 32 notches in the crank sensor wheel!!
These engines are notorious for dropping valve seats. These seats break into small pieces and get stuck in the intake manifold. If you do not address this issue these pieces will recycle into the new engine causing it to fail. Tri Star highly recommends that you replace the intake manifold. If you are not able to replace it, the intake must be thoroughly cleaned.
